4th of July Big Bang Celebration to Expand Firework Viewing
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – You asked, and we listened! This year’s Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration will celebrate the event’s 40th Anniversary in a big way. There will be a sparkling fireworks show from two locations; the USS Lexington and a barge in the Corpus Christi Bay starting at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. That means spectators will have optimal fireworks viewing from North Beach to Cole Park.
Events leading up to the fireworks on Tuesday, July 4 include a Kid Zone and Game Zone from 3 to 6 p.m., music and other entertainment, the Flint Hills Parade at 6 p.m., and the Harbor Bridge Light Show at 9 p.m. before the H-E-B Firework Show at 9:30 p.m. The colorful display will last about 20 minutes and will be synchronized to music.
Thanks to the generosity of our community partner, the Corpus Christi RTA will once again offer complimentary Park & Ride service for the Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration.
