Free Soil Testing Begins April 1st
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Many of us use fertilizers to help create the perfect garden, but too much fertilizer can cause harmful stormwater run-off.
The City’s Stormwater Division, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center, and the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program have a suggestion for you. Beginning today, find out what’s in your soil, pick up a free soil kit at the following locations and have it tested.

After collecting the soil, return your kit to any of the locations. It will be sent to Texas A&M University-College Station and you will be emailed the results. All testing is on a first come, first serve basis. This program is funded through a grant from the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries.
