CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Join us as Mayor Joe McComb and City Manager Peter Zanoni, along with the Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs celebrate the sign installation for The Water’s Edge with the unveiling at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park.

This park is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating our country’s veterans and is home to many monuments and markers. In 1952, Sherrill Park was named in honor of Warren Joseph Sherrill who was Corpus Christi’s first World War II casualty at Pearl Harbor. The park was renamed Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park in 2017, as part of the The Water’s Edge park development project.

The City is requesting only one media representative from each outlet. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks will be required.
