Utility Work to Cause Road Closure on SPID at Everhart Exit Ramp

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Utilities Department advises residents on Thursday, April 13 to Friday, April 14, weather permitting, the South Padre Island Drive (SPID) exit ramp on eastbound Everhart Road will be closed for utility work. The closure is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Traffic lanes on the S.P.I.D. south side access roads also will be reduced.

The exit ramp and access road are scheduled to reopen by 6 p.m. Friday.

The city reminds drivers to use caution when driving through work zones. Motorists should expect delays and if possible, seek alternate routes or avoid the area. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
