Update to Animal Care Laws Protecting Pets to be Postponed

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The first reading of an ordinance presented by Corpus Christi Animal Care Services (CCACS) that focuses on revising the Chapter 6 Ordinance scheduled for Tuesday, April 27, has been postponed. This first reading ordinance will be set for a later City Council date. The ordinance deals with the care and treatment of animals.

CCACS has focused its mission on the live-releasing of animals that have been brought in as strays or due to neglect. Animal Care Services would like to revise the Chapter 6 Ordinance to add safe and responsible requirements for animals brought into the facility.
