UPDATE Time Change: Nothing Routine About the City Cheer Camp

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites the media to its Cheer Camp for a photo opportunity. This camp is one of 10 different types of sports offered as part of the Summer 2018 Youth Sports Camps.
WHAT: The Cheer Camp is for ages 6-16 which runs June 19–22 from 9am–12pm. Participants of all skill levels are learning formations, tumbling, jumps, chants, and cheers. Professional instruction is provided by Lyndsey Rios.
WHO: 20 youth are participating in the camp.
WHERE: Corpus Christi Gym, located at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway.
WHEN: Best time for media is Thursday, June 21, from 11am–12pm.
At 11:45am, the campers will show their skills to their parents with a routine.
WHY: The Summer 2018 Youth Sports Camps provide kids opportunities to learn a new sport each week as well as stay active and have fun during their summer school break. The children build self-confidence as they learn the fundamentals or improve their skills by fine-tuning their form through practice drills.
