CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – We are pleased to bring back our open recreation program this summer where kids can be kids again! Our experience dealing with the limitations brought on by COVID-19 has taught us that social and physical engagement is essential for our health and emotional wellbeing.
The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is offering its “S.P.A.R.K.” (Summer Program and Recreation for Kids) program for youth ages 6-16, which will operate Monday–Friday, June 14 – July 29, 2021, at two recreation centers. Lindale Recreation Center (3133 Swantner Drive) will offer a morning session from 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and an afternoon session from 12:30 p.m.– 5:30 p.m. Oso Recreation Center (1111 Bernice Drive) will only offer an afternoon session from 12:20 p.m.– 5:30 p.m.
Children will enjoy a fun-filled summer playing sports, games, and outdoor activities, and getting creative with arts and crafts, learn from presentations by guest speakers, as well as participate in field trips, and so much more! This open campus program with general supervision provides a positive and engaging environment where all children can play, learn, and grow. FREE morning and afternoon snacks will be provided daily for each child. Lunch will not be included. Space is limited, so sign up today!
