CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance is the culmination of efforts designated by Congress in 2009 to promote community service on 9/11 as an annual and forward-looking tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will host a Heroes Breakfast for the Corpus Christi Police Department. The RSVP volunteers will give back to those who daily protect and serve our community by serving breakfast to the police officers, staff and veterans of the department.

On September 11, 2001, the American people endured the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil in the nation’s history with courage and heroism; the anniversary of September 11th is a positive and respectful way to remember the lives of those lost, pay tribute to those who rose in service, and honor those who continue to serve our country today, including active-duty and reserve soldiers and their families, veterans, and first responders.
