Rescinded Notice Does Not Include Port Aransas Area

Water Customers in NWCID #4 are Still Under a Boil Water Order

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Residents in the Coastal Bend are reporting erroneous messaging of the rescinded boil water notice.

As of 4 a.m. today, all City of Corpus Christi Water Utility customers are cleared from the water boil order. This includes all of Corpus Christi, Calallen, Flour Bluff, and Padre Island.

Water customers in the greater Port Aransas and Mustang Island area are still under an active boil water order as they are water customers of the Nueces Water Control and Improvement District (NWCID) #4 and not the City of Corpus Christi Water Utility. If water customers need to clarify who their water provider is, the City and NWCID #4 recommend that customers look on their water bill to see who their water provider is.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact the City of Corpus Christi Call Center at 361-826-CITY (2489).

Media representatives can contact Strategic Communications Manager Amber Oetting at 361-826-1844 or by email at ambero@cctexas.com.
