Reliant Energy's Beat the Heat Centers Opening Soon
Just in Time for the Summer Heat
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - For the ninth consecutive year, Reliant Energy’s Beat the Heat Centers will provide a safe and comfortable place for Corpus Christi-area residents to stay cool and reduce the need for home electricity use during the hottest days of summer. The cooling centers are free and feature air-conditioned spaces, bottled water, light snacks and entertainment and will operate from Wednesday, June 13 through Friday, September 28.
Beat the Heat Centers:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Greenwood Senior Center, 4040 Greenwood Dr.
• Lindale Senior Center, 3135 Swantner St.
Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Oveal Williams Senior Center, 1414 Martin Luther King Dr.
