Emergency Utility Repairs on Staples Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Emergency utility repairs are underway on Staples Street involving the replacement of a wastewater manhole, temporary pumping, traffic control, and pavement restoration. These repairs will be conducted on Staples Street between Baldwin Boulevard and 17th Street.

To facilitate the work, lane closures will affect the center lane and inside lanes in both directions on Staples Street from Louisiana Avenue to 16th Street. The repairs began on Thursday, June 20, 2024, and are expected to be completed by Monday, June 24, 2024. The contractor will be working around the clock to ensure timely completion.

Despite the ongoing repairs, no services will be interrupted. Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
