City Council Approves Major Street Resurfacing Initiative

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council passed a critical motion to significantly enhance the City’s road infrastructure. The motion awards a construction contract to Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. for resurfacing arterial and collector streets throughout the City.

The contract, valued at $13,452,000.00, includes an option to extend for an additional year, potentially doubling the total to $26,904,000. This initiative is part of the FY 2024 Rapid Pavement Program, which aims to improve city-wide road conditions. Funding for this project will be drawn from various sources, including the Street Fund, Storm Water, Wastewater, Water, and Gas Capital Funds.
