City to Host Three Fall Festivals in Parks Throughout October

Mark Your Calendars for October 7, 21, and 27

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites you to check out the many fall festivals throughout the City this October. Mark your calendars to attend these family and pet-friendly events offering entertainment for everyone in our beautiful city parks.

The Saturday in the Park 2023 music festival will be held on Saturday, October 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Cole Park Amphitheater, located at 1526 Ocean Drive. Bring your lawn chairs to this free event featuring live band performances, food trucks, games, and giveaways. The schedule of bands is as follows:

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.   Falco & The Wolf

7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.   The Chanklas

8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Dreaming in Color

Have a spooktacular time and join the fun at the Trunk or Treat event on October 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Salinas Park, located at 1354 Airport Road. Parks & Recreation staff will hand out treats alongside community partners in front of Halloween-decorated cars. Festivities include inflatables, games, prizes, and face painting. Costumes are encouraged, registration is not required, and admission is free for everyone!

Finally, don’t miss the Oogie Boogie Fest on Friday, October 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at West Guth Park next to the Northwest Senior Center, located at 9725 Up River Road. Enjoy an evening filled with ghoulish Halloween entertainment, including a holiday-themed movie, face painting, a dance party with a DJ, a costume contest, pumpkin painting, and food trucks. You will not want to miss the Glow Ride Tours on illuminated bikes and hayrides. Costumes are encouraged, and admission is free.
