GO TEAM Therapy Dogs Return to Corpus Christi International Airport for Training

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The GO TEAM Therapy, Crisis, and Airport Dogs will team up with the Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to conduct collaborative training for GO TEAM’s Crisis Dogs. This training provides the animals with the experience of working around the sights and sounds of an airport.
This is not a public event.
The public will not be permitted to interact with the therapy dogs.
Members of the media are invited to cover the training. Media can park in the short-term parking lot and meet with Executive Director Nancy Trepagnier outside the TSA checkpoint on the terminal's second floor.

The GO TEAM started in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with two handler/dog teams at the Waldo Canyon Fire on June 26, 2012. The GO TEAM trains bi-annually in the Corpus Christi area. The teams volunteer at schools, colleges, hospitals, assisted living homes, the military, 911 centers, fire/ police departments, and juvenile courts. The GO TEAM Crisis Dogs have been called to comfort displaced victims of disasters and shootings. The GO TEAM has received numerous awards across the United States, including the AKC – American Kennel Club – Paws of Courage Award.
