City of Corpus Christi Launches Informational Webpage to Educate Residents on Proposition A

Special Election on November 7

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi has unveiled an informative webpage at www.cctexas.com/propAinfo, dedicated to educating residents on Proposition A, slated for a special election on November 7. The webpage delves into what Proposition A entails and will soon feature a section dedicated to frequently asked questions, as well as an array of other valuable resources.

Proposition A proposes the reallocation of existing sales taxes with no new taxes to prioritize the continued maintenance and integrity of the Seawall, improvements to regional parks throughout the City, increased funding to fix commercial, industrial, arterial, and collector streets, recruitment of new direct flights resulting in lower airfare, and the needed maintenance, repairs, and renovations to the Selena Auditorium, Arena, and Convention Center. For comprehensive details on Proposition A and the City's dedicated efforts to educate residents, please visit the City's official website at www.cctexas.com or email PropA@cctexas.com for any additional questions.

Complementing the webpage, the City has organized an educational speaking tour, aiming to provide residents with a deeper understanding of Proposition A. This initiative will feature City officials and community leaders who will expound on the proposition's significance and address any inquiries residents may have.

"We are excited to launch this informational webpage and educational speaking tour to help residents better understand Proposition A," said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. "We believe an informed public is essential to helping Corpus Christi move forward."

The City urges residents to participate in early voting starting on Monday, October 23, and continuing through Friday, November 3, with the election day scheduled for Tuesday, November 7. Residents are encouraged to explore the informational webpage and attend the speaking tour to equip themselves with the necessary information for an informed decision.

The City of Corpus Christi remains committed to keeping residents informed about the speaking tour and other educational opportunities related to Proposition A.
