Contractor to Temporarily Close Lanes on North Port Avenue
Construction Expected to Last 60 Days
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning Monday, September 18, a contractor for the City will repair a wastewater line along Port Avenue and construct a new manhole on Comanche Street.
The contractor will run a temporary bypass along Port Avenue and Comanche Street to make the repairs.
Northbound and Southbound travel lanes on Port Avenue will be reduced to two lanes, one for each direction, between Agnes Street and Lipan Street. A temporary intersection closure along the east side of Port Avenue and Comanche Street will be implemented to accommodate the temporary bypass. Detours will be in place for the intersection closure.
Residents will have local access up to the closure, and detour signs will be in place to guide traffic around the temporary closure. Construction is expected to last 60 days.
