CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi and the Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs will host a POW/MIA Day Ceremony on Saturday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ben Garza Gym, 1815 Howard Street. The ceremony was relocated from Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park due to forecasted inclement weather.
The ceremony includes a POW/MIA Missing Man Table, a parade of colors, representatives of veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to honor the commitment and sacrifices made by this nation’s prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action, and their families.
