Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront Offers Free “Walk with A Doc” and Fitness Classes This Weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with VFit Productions, is offering the Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront “Walk with a Doc” and classes this Saturday, September 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Water's Edge, located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard. The event is free and open to everyone.
Dr. Matt Bayazitoglu and Dr. Maria Narcise will lead two group walks and present information on the benefits of walking for children and adults.
Sign up for a free fitness class today at www.cctexas.com/safefunfit—choose from 'Back to Basics Fitness', yoga, or zumba. Class sessions are limited to 30 participants per class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water. All participants will receive a punch card to record each Saturday attended. A completed punch card of ten punches is eligible for a prize.
The Fitness Lane route begins along the seawall at The Water's Edge, northbound, towards the American Bank Center, with the turnaround just before the barge dock entrance. Walk, jog, run, or bike along the event's designated 1.5-mile Fitness Lane (one way). Our community partner, H-E-B, will provide fruit and water for all participants.
