"Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront" Featuring "Do the Hustle 5K/10K" and "The Sunrise 5K/10K"

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with Texas State Representative Todd Hunter and VFit Productions, invites you to its free "Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront" classes this Saturday, August 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Water's Edge, located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard.
"Do the Hustle 5K/10K" presented by Safe Fun-Fit and Texas State Representative Todd Hunter, begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 26. There will be free chip timing and age group awards for race participants.
This weekend also features an additional free event, "The Sunrise 5K/10K" at Cole Park Pier Plaza, located at 1900 Ocean Drive, beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 27. There will be free chip timing and age group awards for race participants. Registration is open until the day of the event.
Sign up for free 5K/10K events or fitness class today at www.cctexas.com/safefunfit—choose from 'Back to Basics Fitness', yoga, or zumba. Class sessions are limited to 30 participants per class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water. All participants will receive a punch card to record each Saturday attended. A completed punch card of ten punches is eligible for a prize.
The Fitness Lane route begins along the seawall at The Water's Edge, northbound, towards the American Bank Center, with the turnaround just before the barge dock entrance. Walk, jog, run, or bike along the event's designated 1.5-mile Fitness Lane (one way). Our community partner, H-E-B, will provide fruit and water for all participants.
