Book Signing Event by Award-Winning Author, Rene S Perez II

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Join us Saturday, July 29, at the Ben F. McDonald Library located at 4044 Greenwood Drive to meet author Rene S Perez II. This Kingsville native and Moody High School alumnus will sign copies of his books. The event begins at 11:30 a.m.

Rene S Perez II won the Alfredo Cisneros del Moral Foundation Award in 2011 and the 2013 National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies (NACCS) Tejas Award for Fiction for his 2012 short story collection, Along These Highways. Perez received his BA in English from the University of Texas and his MFA in creative writing from Texas State University.

His latest book, Two Twins, follows the story of a successful young couple residing in Austin, Texas. The novel explores their personal histories, national and ethnic backgrounds, unique abilities, and ambitions that have brought them to the city's booming music and tech industries and each other.
