City Celebrates National Preservation Month

Annual Preservation Awards and Historic Photo Contest Winners to be Announced

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Landmark Commission will host an awards ceremony to recognize local preservation efforts and announce the Historic Preservation Photo Contest winners. The preservation awards recognize preserved or restored buildings, architects or organizations, education, and history books.

This year's photo contest titled "Undiscovered Treasures" focused on identifying structures 50 years or older, deserving of recognition, that have not officially received historic designations.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 25, at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.
