Corpus Christi Water Offers Xeriscape Volunteer Event This Saturday

Join Nueces County Master Gardeners at Xeriscape Learning and Design Garden

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi Water (CCW) invites volunteers to join the Xeriscape Learning and Design Garden workday on Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The garden is located at 1900 N. Chaparral Street, next to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.

Volunteers will assist with mulching and planting throughout the garden while learning more about Xeriscape gardening from the Nueces County Master Gardeners. Snacks and tools will be provided. In addition, all volunteers will receive a free T-shirt.

The Xeriscape Learning and Design Garden was established by CCW in 1982 to educate the community on ways to save water through landscaping. The 18-thousand-square-foot garden is free and open to the public year-round.
