City to Rededicate Yorktown Mud Bridge

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi will host a ceremony to rededicate the Yorktown Mud Bridge in the 8600 block of Yorktown Boulevard on Friday, April 21, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

On December 12, 2022, the City initiated an emergency closure of the Yorktown Mud Bridge to repair a sinkhole that resulted from damage to the bridge's riprap embankment. In addition, the project included restoring twenty-two of the fifty-five pilings that support the bridge.

The rededication ceremony will be held on the west side (Rodd Field Road) of the Yorktown Mud Bridge.

The City will not hold the weekly news briefing on Wednesday.
