RTA Will Offer Free Transportation

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The National Weather Service expects cold temperatures in Corpus Christi through Thursday. Temperatures tonight will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds will remain around 10-15 mph, with wind chills in the low to mid 30s. Rain chances will increase overnight.

Temperatures are not expected to reach freezing levels. Residents are asked to refrain from dripping their faucets.

City staff is conducting outreach, handing out blankets, socks, hats, and information on where the homeless can find shelter.

The City will offer daytime warming centers in each City Council district that are free and open to the public. City warming centers are not a place to sleep or eat. Only service animals are permitted, and no food will be provided.
