Sunken Vessel Removed from City Marina

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A shrimp boat that sank while moored in the Corpus Christi Municipal Marina on January 15 has been demolished and removed from the area. On January 20, the vessel was hoisted out of the water and onto the marina parking lot. The vessel owner arranged for the disposal of the boat, which took place on January 28. The area has been cleared of all debris.

The City of Corpus Christi, the Coast Guard, and the General Land Office monitored the site during the cleanup and vessel removal operation.

There were no reports of impacts on marine animals or other wildlife.
