Traffic Signal Downed at the Intersection of Port Avenue and Lipan Street

Intersection is Currently Being Operated as a Four-way Stop

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Shortly after 12:30 p.m., the Public Works Department was notified that a traffic signal was down at the intersection of Port Avenue and Lipan Street. The traffic signal was knocked down by a bucket truck.

City workers and emergency contractors responded quickly to the scene to remove debris and assess the damage. Repairs are expected to be done by 4:00 p.m.

The intersection has been converted into a four-way stop.

Southbound traffic along Port Avenue is being controlled by a STOP sign. Traffic from all remaining directions is controlled by traffic signals operating in a flashing red light mode.
