Improvements Coming to Salinas Park

Work Will Require Partial Closure of the Walking Trail

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department advises residents of the partial temporary closure of the walking trail at Manuel Q. Salinas Park, located at 1354 Airport Road, for improvements beginning the week of January 16. Weather permitting, the upgrades are scheduled for completion in the fall season.

Salinas Park will remain open for patrons to use other park amenities, such as the Play-for-All playground, soccer fields, pavilion, and basketball court. Patrons are asked to be aware of cautionary signage and temporary barriers at the work site to maintain public safety.

Park improvements include removing the existing asphalt trail and installing a new concrete walking trail, fitness stations, and improved lighting. While work begins on the north end of the walking trail, patrons may still use the walking trail loop on the park’s south side.
