Cold, Windy Conditions Continue Sunday

La Retama Central Library Will Open as a Warming Center on Sunday

 CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The National Weather Service predicts unseasonal cold temperatures with a chance for showers through Sunday.   

The City of Corpus Christi will open the La Retama Central Library as a warming center for the public on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The library is located at 805 Comanche Street. No pets are allowed except for service animals, and no food will be provided.  

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority will provide free transportation to and from the La Retama Central Library during available hours on Sunday. For more information, go to https://www.ccrta.org. 

Tonight, the Salvation Army will provide 30 additional beds for the homeless population, with the City providing blankets and snacks. The shelter is located at 1804 Buford Street.
