The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Will Unite in Service by Hosting “A Hero’s Breakfast” in Remembrance of 9/11
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will host “A Hero’s Breakfast” for the Corpus Christi Police and Fire Departments to honor those who rise in service every day for our community. The event will take place on Friday, September 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Broadmoor Senior Center, located at 1651 Tarlton Street.
In the aftermath of the tragedy in 2001, thousands of volunteers stepped forward to assist the rescue and recovery efforts. 9/11 Day of Service is an opportunity to recapture the spirit of unity that swept the nation in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks by paying tribute with acts of service to those lost on September 11, 2001.
Please join us and Americans nationwide as we celebrate and thank our local here as part of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance
