City Celebrates National Preservation Month

Historic Photo Contest Winners to be Announced

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Landmark Commission will host an awards ceremony to recognize local preservation efforts and announce the Historic Preservation Photo Contest winners. The event will take place Thursday, May 26 at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.

The City is celebrating National Preservation Month in May to recognize the importance of historic sites and landmarks and residents' contributions to preserving the City's local heritage and the nation's history. Historic preservation enhances the local economy through heritage tourism and creates a sense of place through community revitalization.
