Family-Friendly Event Includes Children’s Coloring Contest

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Professional Firefighters Association will host a FREE Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 23, 6014 Ayers Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The family-friendly event is open to the public. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausages, milk, and orange juice.

The first 20 kids to arrive at the event will receive a FREE commemorative t-shirt. Children can participate in a coloring contest, and three lucky winners will receive firefighter-themed Build-a-Bears. PLUGGY, the robotic fire hydrant, will be on hand promoting fire safety, plus kids attending the pancake breakfast will receive a pink or red firefighter helmet.

The CCFD’s Cancer Awareness Relief Effort (C.A.R.E.) ‘Pink Truck’ will be on display for the duration of the event. C.A.R.E. is a local non-profit organization dedicated to funding cancer research and funding cancer treatments for those in need.
