Dimmitt Pier Closed Daily for New Parking Lot Construction
Pier will be closed from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning today, Monday, November 8, construction improvements will begin at Dimmitt Pier Park. The daily temporary closures are necessary to facilitate the Dimmitt Pier Park improvement project.
The project includes a new parking lot with ADA access, erosion protection, reinforcement of the existing concrete slab, new park benches, picnic tables, area lighting, and basketball goals.
Residents should be aware that the pier will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday to allow the contractor to complete the improvements. The pier will be open during the early morning, evenings, and weekends, outside of the temporary closures. Additionally, there may be a need for the complete closure of the pier due to construction activities and safety concerns.
The project is anticipated to be complete by March 2022.
