CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) will accept ten fire prevention kits, 75 smoke detectors, and a check in the amount of $2,000 from State Farm Insurance. This donation is in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week, which began Sunday, October 3, and runs through October 9.
With this year’s theme, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety,” and the donation from State Farm Insurance, the CCFD can implement these new resources to better educate the public about the sounds smoke alarms make and how to respond to them.
