The Eastbound SPID Everhart Road Exit Closed Due to Water Main Repair
Water Service Remains Uninterrupted for Area Customers
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning on Monday, August 30, the eastbound Everhart Road exit on South Padre Island Drive (SPID) will be temporarily closed. This will allow the contractor, Clark Construction, to begin repairs to water mains located between Oakhurst Drive and Flynn Parkway.
The exit ramp to Everhart Road from eastbound South Padre Island Drive will be temporarily closed at the expressway, reducing the frontage road from two lanes of traffic down to one lane. The frontage road on westbound Everhart Road South Padre Island Drive will also be reduced to one lane of traffic. Closures will take place Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Commuters are advised to adjust their route by taking the Weber Road or Staples Street exits during the scheduled maintenance times. Water service will remain uninterrupted for those in the area at this time.
