Help develop a strategy to revitalize the Staples and Leopard Street corridors in the City's Uptown District. The Planning Department and Asakura Robinson planning team would like to hear your thoughts on revitalization needs and opportunities for Staples Street from Six Points to Interstate 37 and Leopard Street from Upper Broadway to the Crosstown Expressway (SH 286).

"Your voice is valued in the process of making improvements throughout our city. Revitalizing the Uptown Leopard and Staples Corridor will positively impact economic growth and beautify our city," said Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo.

Staff will be available to answer questions and take your feedback throughout the evening at several interactive stations. Asakura Robinson will give a presentation about the project at 6:00 p.m. that will also be broadcast live on the City's Facebook and YouTube platforms.

Residents, business owners, and other community stakeholders are also asked to give their input through the online survey available between July 5 and August 15, 2021, at

Your input will help develop a strategy for revitalization that will guide future public and private investments and lay the foundation for a strong local economy along these two key commercial corridors.
