AEP Construction to Cause Lane Closures on Staples Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – American Electric Power Company, Inc. (AEP) will begin underground utility work on Staples Street on Tuesday, July 6, and continue for up to two weeks to make necessary utility improvements along the road.
The utility work will require daily alternating lane closures of North Bound Staples Street from Burnham Drive to South Padre Island Drive (SPID). The daily lane closures will start Tuesday, July 6, and run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is a high-traffic area. Motorists are advised to pay attention in work zones and take alternate routes to avoid delays.
