Public Works to Conduct Two Week-Long Pothole Blitz
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Department of Public Works is gearing up to launch a two-week-long Pothole Blitz! The Pothole Blitz will begin on Monday, May 10, and run through Monday, May 24, 2021. This pothole-intensive event aims to repair as many potholes as possible within the two-week time frame. Public Works will divert all available staff and resources to the “Pothole Blitz” with the goal to eradicate 4,000 potholes across Corpus Christi.
Public Works’ Street Maintenance crews will repair potholes primarily on City residential streets and arterial roadways based on identified pothole “hot spots,” proactive inspection of corridors, customer service requests received by the City’s Call Center, and through the City of Corpus Christi’s “My City” mobile app.
All work will be done weather permitting and the City reminds drivers to use caution when driving near work zones and to follow all traffic signs.
To report potholes, residents are encouraged to call 361-826-CITY(2489) or download the city app.
Media representatives requesting additional information may contact Gabriela Morrow, Public Information Officer at (361) 826-3583 or by email at gabrielam@cctexas.com.
