Health District to Administer over 18,000 COVID-19 Vaccines Next Week

City–County Patrons can Pre-register. Drop-ins will also be Accepted.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will have first and second dose vaccination clinics next week for individuals 18 years and older.

  • On Monday, April 5, the Corpus Christi–Nueces County Public Health District will administer up to 3,000 Moderna vaccines during a walk-thru clinic at the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Bend from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3902 Greenwood Drive.
  • On Tuesday, April 6, the Corpus Christi–Nueces County Public Health District will administer 2,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccines from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2,000 first dose Moderna vaccines from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. during a walk-thru clinic at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard in Robstown, Texas. Patrons needing second doses are welcome.
  • On Wednesday, April 7, the Corpus Christi–Nueces County Public Health District will administer 5,000 first doses and 2,000 second doses of Moderna vaccines beginning at 9 a.m. during a walk-thru clinic at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard in Robstown, Texas.
  • On Thursday, April 8, the Corpus Christi–Nueces County Public Health will administer 3,300 second dose and 1,000 first doses of Moderna vaccines beginning at 9 a.m. during a walk-thru clinic at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard in Robstown, Texas.

"With four clinics ready to deliver 11,000 first vaccine doses, 5300 second doses, and 2000 of the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine, we can make major progress in our effort to protect the community, " said Barbara Canales, Nueces County Judge. "We have the supply, eligibility has expanded to age 18+ and there's no need to delay: It's your turn."

Things to know:

  • Health District clients can pre-register by calling 361-561-1101. To pre-register online, visit www.cctexas.com/vaccineregistration and click on the “Vaccination Registration” link.
  • During online pre-registration, you must receive a Quick Response (QR) code.
  • Once the online pre-registration limit is reached, you will not be able to register until additional vaccines become available.
  • Notification of appointment date and time will be sent by text or automated calls will be sent to landlines.
  • Walk-ins are welcome on a first come/first serve basis.
  • Vaccines of different brands should not be mixed. If you received the Moderna vaccine for your first dose, you should receive the Moderna vaccine for your second dose.
  • Registered recipients do not need to register for a second dose.
