CORPUS CHRISTI TX – The Corpus Christi Fire Department’s (CCFD) Save Our Seniors (SOS) hotline is closed after pre-registering 500 individuals today for first dose Phase 1A, 1B and 1C vaccinations.

The vaccinations will be administered to homebound residents living in the Corpus Christi city limits on Monday, March 15, Tuesday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 17. The vaccine administered will be Moderna.

A homebound senior is identified as a patron who is unable to leave their home without difficulty. It is usually due to advanced age, illness, or disability.

The SOS program will continue to offer vaccinations as vaccines become available.

The SOS program recently received nationwide notoriety after Governor Greg Abbott visited a Corpus Christi Fire Station in February and met with Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo and Fire Chief Robert Rocha to announce it would become a model for the State of Texas.
