Water Utilities Progresses Forward in the Overnight and Moves onto Next Steps to Remove Water Boil Order
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City’s Water Utilities continues to make strong progress. The system remained stable overnight with pressures above 35 pounds per square inch (PSI) which meets regulatory requirements.
This morning, the Water Utilities team is testing water quality throughout the water distribution system. This starts the 18-hour analysis period required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to rescind the water boil order. The City remains under a water boil notice until communicated otherwise.
If water customers experience line breaks from overnight temperatures and are having difficulty locating their main shutoff valve, they can email waterquality@cctexas.com or call our 24-hour Customer Service Call Center at 361-826-CITY.
