Schedule of Virtual Commemorative Events
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX –The City of Corpus Christi is inviting the community to visit its newly created Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service webpage at www.cctexas.com/MLK. It contains a schedule of virtual events leading up to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2021.
Scheduled events include: A financial empowerment forum and virtual MLK March featuring online guest speakers including former Civil Rights Freedom Riders and more. Participants must register for these virtual events by emailing educatesomeone@hotmail.com.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, the annual MLK March to Downtown will not take place this year. Residents are encouraged to continue visiting the MLK Day of Service webpage for additional updates.
