Wastewater Winter Quarter Averaging is Coming

Averaging will be calculated December 2020 through March 2021

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Water Department will begin averaging residential water use from December 2020 through March 2021. This will determine wastewater charges for the next year by averaging three consecutive billing cycles of water usage. Once an average is assessed, ratepayer’s wastewater charges will be the same every month until Winter Quarter Averaging begins again next year.

Ratepayers can expect to see their wastewater average reflected no later than their June 2021 utility bill.

Every ratepayer has a different service period. This information can be found on the second page of utility bills under meter information or by calling 826-CITY (2489). For example, if a billing cycle starts on the 22nd of each month, the wastewater winter quarter average is calculated from December 22, 2020 through March 21, 2021.
