Traffic Alert: Flashing Yellow Arrow and Signage Installations (Airline Road & Holly Road Intersection)

Corpus Christi, TX--The City’s Public Works Department will be adding Flashing Yellow Arrow (FYA) traffic signals at the intersection of Airline Road and Holly Road this week. Beginning Monday, August 31 thru Friday, September 4 Flashing Yellow Arrow (FYA) traffic signals and signage will be installed to improve left-turn movements at the intersection. When the yellow arrow begins flashing, motorists must yield to oncoming vehicles and pedestrians before making a left turn.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone area and expect some delays. Throughout the week, drivers should expect to see daily lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. while crews are working within the intersection. Drivers should also expect to see the traffic signals at the intersection operating in flash mode. When traffic signals are flashing, all drivers must come to a complete STOP prior to proceeding through the intersection.
