Greenwood Drive Lane Closures Expected Next Week
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- On Monday, August 31, 2020, drivers should expect a temporary closure of the southbound lanes on Greenwood Drive at the South Padre Island Drive (SPID) intersection. Greenwood Drive will be reduced to one lane in the northbound direction only. This closure is required to allow City Contractors to conduct utility work on wastewater lines in the area.
Motorists traveling southbound on Greenwood Drive will be forced to turn right on the access road and motorists going straight will have to detour using the turnaround at West Point Road. One northbound lane on Greenwood Drive will remain open. The temporary closure is expected to last about 2 weeks.
Safety is a top priority, so motorists and pedestrians are reminded to be aware of the work zone, follow all traffic control devices, and expect possible traffic delays.
