To Determine Ballot Order Scheduled

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - City Secretary Rebecca L. Huerta has scheduled a drawing to determine the order of placement of names on the ballot for the November 3, 2020 city council election.  The drawing will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.

The drawing can be viewed live via one of the following:

Television:  Spectrum Channel 1300

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, candidates are strongly encouraged to view the proceedings online in lieu of attending in person.  A member of the City Secretary’s staff will draw for each candidate. If attending in person, only the candidate OR one candidate’s representative will be allowed in City Council Chambers. 

The City is requesting only one media representative from each outlet be present in the City Council Chambers.  This is not a public gathering.

Notice:  To reduce the chance of COVID-19 transmission, individuals:

  • are subject to a temperature check upon entering City Hall;
  • are required to wear a face covering while in City Hall; and
  • must practice social distancing.
