Tropical Storm Hanna City Closures and Cancellations

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Due to Tropical Storm Hanna, the City of Corpus Christi will temporarily close some facilities and cancel programs on Saturday, July 25:

Public Libraries:

Friday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m.: All six-library locations will close and reopen Monday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m.

Parks & Recreation:

H-E-B Tennis Center, 1520 Shely Street

Al Kruse Tennis Center, 502 King Street

**Golf Courses will remain open until weather becomes too severe

Lozano Golf Center, 4401 Old Brownsville Road

Corpus Christi Natatorium, 3202 Cabaniss Parkway

All County and City Gulf beaches, Packery Channel Parking Lot and Windward Parking Lot, along with McGee Beach and North Beach will also be closed through Monday, July 27, at 6:00 a.m.

Reliant Energy’s “Beat the Heat” cooling kits curbside distribution, Lindale Senior Center, 3135 Swantner Street.

Animal Care Services:

Adoptions will resume Monday, July 27 at 8:00 a.m., if weather conditions are safe.

Saturday, July 25:

Facility will be opened for rescue partners to pick up their animals, as well as citizens to reclaim their owned animals until 4:30 p.m.
