Tap Water, There When You Need It

Water Utilities Celebrates Drinking Water Week

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – For more than 40 years, the American Water Works Association and its members have celebrated Drinking Water Week. This unique celebration highlights both water professionals and the communities they serve as the vital role water plays in our daily life. This year Drinking Water Week runs May 3 - 9, 2020, and will be observed online using the #ThereWhenYouNeedIt.

Our Water Department team is a part of the City’s critical infrastructure and has been working at full strength during this global health emergency, to ensure high-quality drinking water is there when you need it on demand.

“The City of Corpus Christi Water Utilities Department has a dedicated team of highly qualified professionals working to ensure our nearly 500,000 customers in the Coastal Bend region are provided with reliable drinking water that has the highest water quality achievable,” Gabriel Ramirez, Assistant Director of Water Quality and Treatment said.
