Firefighters Return to Duty
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Four firefighters placed in quarantine on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 have been released following a negative COVID-19 test result for a pediatric patient.
Firefighters treated and transported an infant to Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Officials at Driscoll advised the infant fit the criteria for COVID-19 testing. Out of an abundance of caution the four firefighters were quarantined pending the patient’s test result.
Fire Department personnel have been advised the infant’s COVID-19 test result has returned negative. All firefighters will return to regular duty for their next shift on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
