First Responders Quarantined after Emergency Medical Call

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two Corpus Christi Firefighter Paramedics are in isolation after responding to an EMS call last night that resulted in the patient being transported to a local hospital.
After further evaluation by medical staff, it was determined the patient fit criteria for COVID-19 and will be tested. Until test results are received, the first responders will remain quarantined and actively monitored in an abundance of caution.
The City of Corpus Christi is committed to ensuring the safety of first responders and will take necessary action to protect the personnel, their families, and the community.
