Blessing Bags in Honor of MLK Day of Service
Intergenerational Service Project. Photo Opportunity on January 17
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – To commemorate Martin Luther King Day of Service, participating members of the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation’s Senior Centers and Department staff collected donations for Blessing Bags that will be delivered to local homeless shelters on MLK Day. The bags will include a variety of hygiene products, snacks, water, hand warmers, and socks.
The media is invited to this intergenerational service project for a photo opportunity. Children from the Lindale Recreation Center will be working alongside members of the Lindale Senior Center to assemble the Blessing Bags on Friday, January 17, at 3:45pm at the Lindale Recreation Center located at 3133 Swantner Drive.
